When it comes to animal print and fashion, I’m always a bit hesitant. Sometimes prints are overwhelming, and paired with the wrong colors or patterns they are just downright tacky. But to be fair, I’ve seen some girls rocking animal prints like nobody’s business so Sophie and I decided to give it a try. This leopard print dress is from one of our favorite brands – Kardashian Kids and I love it because it’s so versatile. So we had some fun and here are our tips on how to style an animal print from casual to formal. Most of the items Sophie is wearing are no longer available, so I’ve found you some alternatives instead.
Animal Print Worn Casually – This look is cool and simple. Soph is wearing the dress with her favorite casual slip-on sneakers from Zara kids. I have been wanting to find sneakers like these for myself for the longest time. They’re great because they are casual but have a neat design that makes them look not so “sporty.” Some cool wannabe Prada sunglasses and that casually-cute bun complete the outfit. Easy as 1-2-3, literally.
Animal Print Worn Formally – If worn correctly, animal print can be classy too, even when paired with colors. Though most of the time I don’t like colorful combinations, especially with leopad print (e.g. brown leopard print with red…soooo Peggy Bundy) we did a dark, subtle burgundy to keep it elegant and not tacky. Burgundy suede shoes and headband + a fresh blowout and Sophie is fancy-party ready! Now where to take this fancy fashionista of mine, hah!
