Shopping for baby cribs is one of the most time consuming things you’ll do as parent-to-be/new parent. First you have to figure out the style of crib you want, then color and price range, then search for it and lastly check to make sure the crib and your assembly & use comply with the Consumer Product Safety Commissions guidelines (in case you don’t know where to look, follow this link). Having done this twice, I have a good sense of where to look and how to make sure you’re getting the best deal. Below are a few of my favorite retailers to shop for baby cribs:
Restoration Hardware Baby & Child – This is the place to go for classic baby cribs in neutral wood finishes. Some of the tufted cribs feel like they are made for royalty. But as with most nice things, there’s a high price tag. If you’re on a budget you can check the “specials” section or the “final sale” section (which means you can’t return the crib but also means you score amazing savings on the price).
Pottery Barn Kids – PB Kids is a cheaper alternative to the above. They feature some classic cribs but also have modern, sleek designs at a more affordable cost.
Buy Buy Baby – If you’re looking for a one stop shop to complete your baby’s nursery (from crib, to bedding, to hampers, to rocking chairs) then Buy Buy Baby is a great place to start. They always have great promotions or discounts (e.g. % off your purchase when you join their mailing list, free shipping on orders of $99) and have a wide selection of baby items, so you can do your crib shopping and everything else shopping at once.
Wayfair – This place is the Costco of cribs, online. Find any crib, any color, any style you want, and narrow your search by different filters. But, the main reason why I love Wayfair is their incredible customer service. If you are ever unhappy with ANYTHING, they will either refund you or send the best specialists in your area to fix the issue.
Kids Only Furniture – This is for my local readers, because Kids Only Furniture has two locations in CA – Burbank and Santa Monica, so you would have to place your order in-store. But I love this place because they have SOOO many different styles, colors, and offer cribs at a variety of price points. They also strive to give you a better deal and discount than other retailers/websites. So check them out if you’re close by. (PS – you can browse their inventory online).
Amazon – When it comes to any list, Amazon has to make it. So wherever you find your perfect crib, make sure to search for it on Amazon because you may just find a better deal there. And, with about 2,000 crib choices, you’re bound to find one to fit your every criteria.
