The Kardashian empire keeps growing and growing, they are everywhere from television to the runway to retail and lately all over news outlets helping bring recognition to the Armenian Genocide (a big heartfelt thank you to Kim and Khloé for all you did this month). One of my favorite creations is their Kardashian Kids line, and the mommy in me couldn’t be more excited that their wonderfully stylish collection officially launched at Nordstrom last week.
The Kardashian Kids clothing line features pieces for girls and boys for infant (newborn-24 months) as well as toddler (2T-5T) sizes. They have the cutest prints and color combinations – lots of pastel hues for girls and cool kid shades like army green and khaki for boys. What I love most about Kardashian Kids is that the styles and cuts are a perfect hybrid of kid and adult fashion. Girls clothes are perfectly proper, but feature trendy adult details and prints and boys clothes are comfortable but adorned with big-boy pockets, buttons, and stitching.
So in honor of the launch of Kardashian Kids at Nordstrom I decided to use the cutest little faces I know to showcase how you can easily take one piece from the Kardashian Kids collection and take your little one from day to night with a few simple switches and additions. The little girl is my daughter Sophie Zadoyan and Mr. Handsome is my best friend’s son Kahren Kanian.
Ready, set, don’t melt!
Here I used the Kardashian Kids Gathered Skirt to create a more casual look for the day and a fancier look for the evening. For the first look I paired the skirt with a simple white tank with gold buttons (also from the collection), added a simple braided belt for accent and finished with my daughter’s favorite cute and oh so comfy Mini Melissa gold shoes. For a nighttime look, I switched out the shirt for a fancier one with a silk collar detail, added stockings and fancier and shinier shoes (the shinier the better for Sophie) and put up my daughter’s hair. This skirt is so versatile for those days when I’m out all day with Sophie but need to switch her outfit from day to night, I can throw a few things in my diaper bag and keep her stylish all day long.
One thing I’ve learned from moms of boys is that their boys NEED to be comfortable. So for Kahren, I took the Kardashian Kids Chino Shorts in a cool army green color and added a tank with pocket and stitch details. Both the shorts and the tank are super comfortable for boys to run around in all day. The hat and shoes are also casual but add a touch of style to this outfit. And to go from day to night, I switched the tank with a super lightweight and comfortable button-down from the collection. Neutral colored big-boy blazer and loafers complete this dressy transformation. One thing to note about the boys collection is that I found the sizes run big so I would go down a size or even two depending on the boy you’re buying for.
Hope this gives you mommies out there some ideas on how you can easily switch your kids outfits from day to night. I’ll be creating more fun kids styling content with these cuties soon!
