New Style: How to Wear This Season’s Most Trendy Color

Gracing the runway and street styles, green is in, and how fabulous it is! While most people associate fall with rusts, burgundies and golds, a bright pop of green nicely accents any cool-weather outfit. Ensembles that use flashes of green to highlight a neutral black and white palette look especially awesome for date nights.

Here I tried out the new style by wearing a flirty flared skirt from Modcloth.com called the “Stripe It Lucky Skirt,” which was a real steal. The Cold Shoulder crop top pairs perfectly with it, highlighting the slim silhouette formed by the skirt’s high black waistband. I especially love how the sleeves cling all the way down to the wrist. The neck sits fairly high and provides an elegant backdrop for stunning jewelry.

To keep the neutral palette going, I’m wearing a pair of shimmery silver heels by Jessica Simpson. Since they were sold out, I found similar ones: the Ivanka Trump Duchess 2 Evening Sandles. Silver heels do a great job at dressing up your feet without stealing attention from the rest of the outfit. Silver is a perfect fall and winter color too, forecasting crisp nights and winter snow (if you’re lucky enough to live somewhere that gets it), and you can dress shoes like this up with a ball gown or dress it down with jeans for a dressy night out affair.

The crown jewels of this outfit are the sparkling many-toned (featuring green) necklace from Zara and the Merona green handbag from Target. With pale green, darker green and aqua crystals setting off the flashy clear gems, this necklace will stun in most combinations, but looks particularly lovely against the black and white backdrop of this outfit and the pop of green from the satchel style bag. Match it with a pair of earrings and you’re golden. (Well, silver, actually!)

You could dress things up even more with a green handbag to complement the jewelry or perhaps a pair of stunning leather gloves dyed a more subtle green hue. This outfit transitions well from day to night; just slip on a jacket or coat and you’re good to go! Try out the new style and let me know how it turns out.
