Oh the good old classic leather jacket and ripped jeans outfit. Simple yet versatile pieces that can be spiced up or dressed down. They are both closet staples and definite go-tos in my closet and I have to admit, I wear one if not both at least once a week (with different combinations of course).

Ripped Jeans | Lace Bralette | Leather Jacket
I chose to feature this particular outfit because it’s more of an in-between-seasons look. I went with a spring appropriate floral top combined with nude heels, and sprinkled a little edge to it with a leather jacket and ripped jeans. This dynamic duo is always a great combination that’s fun, laid back and perfect for the city. Here are my favorite fresh and budget-friendly finds:
Leather Jacket
The trick to finding the right one is to evaluate your closet to see if you wear more golds or silvers. Once you figure that out, it’s all about the cut. Do you want something above the waist or slightly below. Anything longer than that will have you in old school territory, but hey, if that’s your thing, go for it! I particularly like mine at my waist because I love to pair my leather jackets with high waist skinny jeans.
Ripped Jeans
Let’s be real, there are some out there that are grungy AF. If you’re looking for a versatile pair of ripped jeans you can wear all year long, opt for a style that’s equal parts comfortable and distressed (but not destroyed). This will allow you to wear it both in the summer as well as the winter with tights to keep you warm.
