Summer is here, and with a baby bump to accompany it I’ve had to do an extensive search for swimsuits to find one that fits AND doesn’t make me look like shamu. I’ve looked at everything from one-pieces to bikinis to swim dresses and figured I’d take down some notes on where to get the best swimwear online and share it with you all. There are endless online retailers that carry swimwear but I’ve broken it down by category and shared with you where you can find the best. So whether you’re stripping down to your bathing suit at the hottest Vegas pool party, going on a boat ride on the lake or hitting some volleyballs at the beach, you can find something to suit your needs below.
Trendy: You can always count on RevolveClothing.com to have the latest trends, and swimsuits are no exception. This is the best place to get swimwear online if you’re looking for one of a kind pieces you won’t find others rocking at the party (because that would be very uncool). They have all cuts and styles and colors and also feature designers like Blue Life and Nanette Lepore. This two-piece from MinkPink is my current favorite from the site – it has a halter top and hip-hugging bottom but what I love most is the pastel floral print, it’s unlike any floral print I’ve seen this season.
Everything Under The Sun: For those of you who are going to be a social butterfly this summer and go from bonfire parties to hotel pool soirees, Nordstrom is your one stop shop to get all kinds of swimwear online. They have a huge style selection including casual and dressy pieces, one-pieces and tankinis, and carry swimsuits for every body type. Check out the beautiful crochet work on this Robin Piccone one-piece if you want to rock the dainty look, or this cool color block two-piece from Maajii for a comfy-cute look.
Budget-Conscious: If you’re looking for affordable solutions for your pool or beach gear, check out Target. They offer bikinis, tankinis and one-pieces. This is the perfect place to shop if you’re on a budget but don’t want to miss out on the latest and hottest styles. What’s best is you don’t have to feel guilty if your swimsuit gets dirty, or destroyed or lost (wink) because you didn’t spend a ton of money on it. Mossimo and Xhilaration are the two main brands Target carries, and this Mossimo Twist Bandeau bikini is my fave because it comes in an array of colors and can be dressed up or down.
Sporty Babes: The perfect bathing suits for summer time volleyball, jogging on the beach or beach boarding can be found at Athleta.com. I love the Waveline Bikini because it has a sporty racerback design giving you the support you need for a surf or a run, but has a cute pattern to ensure you look like you’re going to the beach, not the gym.
Casually Cool: PacSun.com carries casually cool swimwear from brands like Billabong and LA Hearts and it’s a great place to look if you want to look cool but not look like you tried too hard. They have a wide variety of styles such as skimpy bottoms, bralettes and one-piece suits. If you’re looking for a swimsuit to comfortably chill by the pool or for an afternoon of tanning on the beach, Pacsun is your go-to. My fave is the LA Hearts Triple Strap bikini – it has a fun print, a unique cut and cool criss-cross triple straps in the back.
Sexy Swimwear: If you’re in need of something sexy for the Vegas strip or a hot party in Miami or anywhere really, BeachBunnySwimwear.com is the online shop to check out. They carry swim separates, one-pieces, cover-ups and accessories. My current favorite (though I can’t rock this since I’m preggo) is the Madagascar Glam – it has a delicate lace bra top and strappy bottom with gold rings. Though BeachBunny.com is a more expensive place to get swimwear online, it’s worth the investement because their products are truly great quality, look and feel expensive and best of all make you feel as sexy as a playboy bunny.
Chic: If you want to flaunt your designer style poolside, check out Neiman Marcus’ collection of swimwear online. They carry the best designers including Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs, La Perla and Herve Leger and the way these swimsuits look, everyone will take notice. I absolutely adore this La Perla Crochet-Front swimsuit which is a beautiful neutral color perfect for any occasion and bound to turn all heads.
Custom: At VictoriaSecret.com, you can mix and match a strappy black bandeau with a patterned itsy bitsy, tie bikini bottom. It’s the perfect place to shop if you’re not sure what you want, but you know what you like. You can find a piece that’s flattering for your body type in your favorite color or pattern.
