I’m currently 7 months pregnant and I love fashion. Now, for a fashion-loving gal, shopping for stylish maternity clothes at maternity-specific stores can be a hair-pulling experience, as in you want to pull your hair out because it’s so frustrating. You want to look cute and fashion-forward, but the selection tends to be a little basic. But this doesn’t have to be the case. Within every maternity store, there are gems hidden in the overabundant-jersey rough and it’s absolutely possible to put your most stylish foot forward and find pieces that’ll have even your non-preggo friends going “where did you get that fab outfit?”. One of my fave places to browse is Destination Maternity. I’ve found quite a few stylish maternity clothes to add to my closet and I wanted to share them with you. #stylethebump!
The perfect white summer dress is a summer must have! I love the intricate detailing and the fact that it’s made out of cotton. See, stylish maternity clothes are possible!
The LBD is a closet essential and you need one for all the events you’ll likely have to go to while pregnant. With a figure-flattering classic silhouette, all you need to do to wear this dress multiple times is switch up your accessories.
Who says your maternity clothes have to be saccharine and sweet? Personally, I take my clothes with a bit of edge, like the leather detailing on this mini dress.
Equipment’s silk shirts are classic and incredibly comfortable and breathable – perfect for those hot summer days! Luckily they’ve expanded into stylish maternity clothes so you don’t have to give up your fave closet staples.
A crisp cotton shirt is a go-to piece that you’ll be reaching for at every chance you get. I love the feminine detailing and waist tie on this one.
On days when all you really want to do is throw on a ratty tee and sweats, it’s essential that you dress up to get out of the funk. The sophisticated silhouette on this top will have you feeling like your old stylish self in no time.
Maternity pants don’t have to be baggy and these slim, but not too tight, pants have a flattering fit that works for both casual and dressy occasions.
I live in my distressed denim when I’m not pregnant and was devastated when they no longer fit. Luckily, Citizens of Humanity have made a pair to accommodate my growing bump!
From lounging by the beach to strolling the farmer’s market, these printed shorts are the perfect festive touch for the warmer months.
Denim shorts are something I live in during the summer and a baby belly isn’t going to stop me. These shorts have the perfect amount of distressing as well as the nice roomy cut-off feel of normal shorts.
